Hi everyone and welcome to my first blog post!!! Yay! I am creating quilts and learning all sorts of new things right now. I hope to post about a variety of things (& of course, include quilting every chance I get). I never, and I mean NEVER, do what I’m about to tell you I did yesterday…are you ready?! I got the new Apple iPad and it. is. AMAZING!!! Just look at it…
Isn’t it pretty? And it really is easy to use! I just loved & wanted an iPad since they were first introduced, but yesterday I volunteered in the morning so I couldn’t be there first thing when the Apple store doors opened. When I got home I called our local Apple store to make sure they still had them in stock and sure enough they did! So, my mom and I drove over, and there was still a line!!
When we were able to go into the store, an employee greeted us and shook our hands. Our salesperson showed us how to use it and answered our questions. I was definitely impressed with the awesome customer service. I’ve always liked the look of Apple, and have been impressed with the brand, but have never become an Apple “convert” … until possibly now 😉
So that was my exciting day yesterday, but I’ve had a few other fun things happening that I’d like to share. First, have you heard about Project Life? For all of you out there that would like to scrapbook, but get a little overwhelmed and don’t always know where to start, this product is great! Becky Higgins, formerly with Creating Keepsakes, came up with this. You get everything you need in one pretty little package:
Here I am the day I got mine. This is a big year for me. I graduate in June with my Bachelor’s in Business and I start graduate school in September. Here’s a picture from her Amazon website of all you get when you open your box:
Unfortunately, it is sold out right now, but I would definitely keep checking on Amazon or on Becky Higgin’s blog if this is something that interests you. I will keep you posted as my own Project Life continues.
I couldn’t write this post without including something about quilting!!! So, last but not least, I am writing to tell you about my favorite find of all time. I am a “wherever I can” quilter. In other words, I don’t have a dedicated space just for quilting. If you’re like me (or even if you do a lot retreats or classes, this is a product you should consider purchasing, trust me, it is worth every penny!), and don’t have a table built for your sewing machine, a plexiglass sewing table is perfect. It is so much easier to move your fabric around, and gives you a lot more room.
For any of you who may be interested, I have a Bernina Activa 135 S (Patchwork addition). The pattern on my sewing table is Come Around for Coffee from PamKittyMorning (scroll down on the page, it is a link on the left hand side) from this past Christmas’s “Cross Country Christmas Quilt Designer Blog Hop.”
Happy Easter and Happy Spring!
